Essex Cabinet Makers Ltd was established in 1987, with its subsidiary company Comshape Technology Ltd forming five years later in 1992. We are a New Lynn based company with a well equipped 17,000 square feet factory. When contacting us, whether it is via phone or visiting our showroom, Julie at reception will be your first point of contact. Julie is responsible for many aspects of the day to day running of the company, looking after accounts, and generally keeps the rest of us organized and in line. (Well, she tries anyway). Mike Paul and Cliff Armstrong (Directors) have been working together for more than 20 years, and both have a real passion for the industry. As trained cabinet makers, collectively they have over 60 years of manufacturing experience, and although they wear many hats within the business, they remain very customer focused, both being heavily involved in each project from start to finish, from the design and quoting stage, through to material selection and construction methods. Mike looks after the domestic market, involved with the design and manufacture of kitchens, vanity units, wardrobes, entertainment units, furniture, along with everything else within the home. From one off pieces to whole house fit outs. Cliff is more commercially focused, having helped create many amazing commercial spaces around the country. We work on many Bars, Restaurants, Vineyards and Cafes, through to high end office fit outs and shopfittng. Our team is made up of some of the most talented cabinet makers in the country, led by the Factory Forman Tony Fowler. We pride ourselves on being one off specialists, thinking outside the square and utilizing our skills, machinery and sub-trades to their full potential, keeping full control of the project from start to finish, we can tackle anything, not only in Auckland but nationally and internationally. With a constantly changing marketplace we have adapted by developing new products and investing in sophisticated machinery to remain competitive. To keep standards as high as possible we have a minimum standard that we build to, that guarantees quality and durability. Using only HMR/EO MDF or Ply substrates, ridged 2mm PVC on all edges, and high quality european hardware such as Grass and Blum. A large majority of our work comes from recommendations and repeat business allowing us to spend time building a strong rapport with our clients.
