Essex Cabinet Makers was established in 1987 with Comshape Technology forming five years later in 1992. We are based in New Lynn where we have progressed to our current 17,000 square feet factory with plans to upsize.
Eighteen experienced and talented staff makes up the team at Essex and Comshape. Mike and Cliff in management, Tony our Forman of ten years, two dedicated CNC operators, two apprentice joiners, seven superior cabinet makers and installers, an in house Polish Shop and Sharon in the office all contribute to producing quality without compromise.
With Essex specialising in custom built quality kitchens, house fit outs and furniture, and Comshape focusing on the commercial and shop fitting side along with contract CNC work and feature ceiling elements we pride ourselves on being one off specialists. Thinking outside the square and utilizing our skills, machinery and sub trades to their full potential, we can tackle anything.
With a constantly changing marketplace we have had to adapt by developing new products and invest in sophisticated machinery to remain competitive.
The majority of our work comes from recommendations and repeat business allowing us to spend time building a strong rapport with our clients.
We have a minimum standard that we build to that guarantees quality and durability. 18mm thick carcasses in both MDF and MUF (moisture resistant MDF) combined with ridged 2mm PVC edges; Grass Nova Pro soft close metallic draw sides and the option of EO board for the environmentally conscious or coloured interiors will all help to ensure your kitchen continues to look like the day it was installed.
